Our History
HOIM International is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization formally established in April 2024, though its roots trace back to community outreach efforts launched over 10 years earlier in Dallas, Texas. What began as local engagement and compassionate service within vulnerable neighborhoods, particularly among immigrant and refugee populations in the Vickery Meadow area—has grown into an international mission with a global heartbeat.
Over the past decade, HOIM’s work has expanded across East and Central Africa through partnerships with local churches and community leaders. Our initiatives have focused on leadership development, empowering local changemakers with the tools and training needed to uplift their communities. Alongside this, we’ve provided humanitarian relief to orphans, victims of war, and families impacted by natural disasters.
Our evolution from local outreach in Dallas to global impact reflects our enduring commitment to serve. The formal registration of HOIM International marked a new chapter creating a solid framework to continue advancing our mission.
Grounded in Christian values, HOIM International exists to empower individuals and communities to rise above poverty, injustice, and marginalization. Through capacity building, vocational training, and initiatives in peace building and reconciliation, we aim to transform lives—serving all people with dignity and compassion, regardless of race, religion, gender, or ethnicity.
